Four basic requirements about carbonization machine carbonizing biomass

Before using the biomass carbonization machine, be sure to read the instruction carefully and understand the detailed working principle of drying machine. Only by doing so can we run the machine smoothly. Otherwise we will not reach the expected carbonization requirements while using the carbonization machine to carbonize biomass or other materials because of some details. So Beston has concluded some basic knowledge of the carbonization machine for customers. For example, what should be paid more attention to when using the carbonization machine to carbonize straw, rice husk, fruit shell, branch or other materials?

Four basic requirements about carbonization machine carbonizing biomass

Firstly, the combination state of material and water will determine the difficulty level of the carbonization, it also determines the energy consumption level and how long the materials will stay in the carbonization machine. This situation is closely related to the type of drying equipment. For example, for materials that are difficult to carbonize, we should give them longer time to stay in the machine instead of strengthening the external heating conditions.

Secondly, the form of materials. Materials can exist in a variety of forms, and the size of the biomass material is closely related with the speed of carbonation. For example, some common materials such as straw, branches, bamboo, fruit shell, etc., exist in the forms of slice, fiber and granular. The huge materials need to be crushed before carbonization, so choosing carbonization equipment should also base on the form of the material.

Thirdly, the physical properties of the material itself. Their physical properties usually include density, bulk density, heat capacity and adhesion ability etc. The level of adhesion has a direct influence on the work of drying equipment. When the adhesion ability is very strong, the drying process will be unable to continue.

At last, what we should pay attention to is some precautions in the carbonization process. For example, the degree of heat sensitivity of the materials when they are heated. Some materials will occur some changes when they are heated, such as discoloration, decomposition of metamorphism, and so on. In addition, the shrinkage of the material in the drying process will make the material out of shape or crack, thus resulting in lower quality or even scrapped material.
